Website Design
My web design experience spans a variety of projects, from hand-coding responsive sites to leveraging modern content management systems (CMS). I have built websites for academic credit, for a local nonprofit organization, and for my own professional portfolio, which is the very site you are on now.

My foundational skills in web development were forged in a challenging academic project where I built a website entirely from scratch. Using only HTML and CSS in Visual Studio Code, I translated a static design into a fully functional, responsive webpage. This project honed my ability to ensure cross-browser compatibility and implement fluid layouts that adapt seamlessly to different screen sizes.

For this portfolio, I transitioned to the Wix editor to create a clean and maintainable site. This enabled me to focus on content and user experience, while still applying my technical skills. I implemented custom JavaScript to create dynamically revealing submenus in my instructional content, enhancing usability. (For more detail, please see my "Embedded User Assistance" portfolio piece).

I then applied this practical experience to a volunteer project for a local nonprofit, developing another Wix-based website to meet their organizational needs. You can view the live site by clicking the image below.
