Player Spawn Pad and Door Devices

You are now ready to place the final devices in the maze. You will place the Player Spawn Pad device in the spot where you want the player to start the game. This will need to be within section 1 of the maze. You will place the Lock devices beside the doors, along with the Conditional Button devices. The doors will initially be locked and will open when the Conditional Buttons transmit a signal indicating the player has obtained four torches.

Player Spawn Pad

  1. Get the Player Spawn Pad device from your inventory.

  2. Place the Player Spawn Pad device inside your maze, anywhere within section 1 of the maze, in the place where you want the player to appear when the game begins.

Lock devices

  1. Get the Lock device from your inventory.

  2. Use fly mode to move and stand inside section 1 of the maze, looking at the door.

  3. Set DROPS to OFF and GRID SNAP to NONE.

  4. Set the Rotation Axis to Yaw using the Tab key.

  5. Position the Lock on the wall beside the door.

  6. Rotate the Lock using the R and E keys until the button is facing out, away from the wall.

  7. Place the Lock device beside the door.

8. Customize the Lock by setting the option Unlock When Receiving From to CHANNEL 7.

9. Copy-paste the Lock device in section 1 using your phone tool. 

10. Use fly mode to travel to the door in section 2, and stand looking at the door, inside the maze.

11. Place the Lock on the wall beside the door using the same process used for the first lock.

12. Customize the Lock by setting the option Unlock When Receiving From to CHANNEL 13.

Section 1 Conditional Button

  1. Get the Conditional Button from your inventory.

  2. Use fly mode to move and stand inside section 1, looking at the door.

  3. Position the Conditional Button on the wall beside the door.

  4. Rotate the Conditional Button using the R and E keys until the button is facing away from the wall.

  5. Place the Conditional Button beside the door.

6. Activate the Conditional Button to require a torch. For detailed instructions on activating the button, click here.

a.  Position the creator to stand facing the device, close to the device.

b.  Use the Tab key to navigate into CREATIVE Inventory.

c.  Select the item you want to load into the device by clicking on its picture in the inventory menu.

d.  Click on EQUIP at the bottom of the inventory screen to add the item into your equipment area.

e.  Click PLAY at the top of the inventory screen. 

f.   Use the mouse to drag and drop the item from the Player Equipment bar to the device.

g.  Click on CREATIVE at the top of the screen to navigate back to the inventory screen.

h.  Use the Tab key to return to your island in Build mode.

7.  Approach the placed Conditional Button, in Creative, until you see the customize prompt.

8.  Press the E key to customize the Conditional Button.

9.  Customize the Conditional Button with these options:

     a.  Set Key Items Required to 4.

     b.  Set Enabled at Game Start to No.

     c.  Set Enable When Receiving From to CHANNEL 6.

     d.  Set When Activated Transmit On to CHANNEL 7.

  1. Copy-paste the section 1 Conditional Button using your phone tool. 

  2. Use fly mode to move over to the section 2 door, and stand looking at the door, inside the maze.

  3. Place the second Conditional Button on the wall beside the section 2 door using the same process used for the section 1 button.

  4. Customize the Conditional Button with these options:

      a.  Set Enable When Receiving From to CHANNEL 12.

      b.  Set When Activated Transmit On to CHANNEL 13.

   NOTE: The first 2 options were copied from the section 1 button.
