Overview of Tutorial Steps

  1. Create a new island using a Grid Starter Island.

  2. Update the Time Limit the player has to finish the game.

  3. Build the maze with two sections, separated by a door. The player will proceed from the first to the second section by going through the door.

  4. Add an exit door to section 2 of the maze. The player wins the game by exiting through this door.

  5. Place the Team Settings and Inventory device, the Item Granter device and the Trigger device outside the maze

  6. Customize the devices to send and receive signals so the Trigger can signal the Team Settings and Inventory device when the game ends, and the Item Granter can award torches to the player as they encounter Perception Triggers in the maze.

  7. Place Item Spawner devices and Perception Trigger devices in the maze.

  8. Customize the Item Spawner devices to communicate with the Perception Triggers to spawn torches under certain conditions.

  9. Customize the Perception Trigger devices to send and receive signals from the other devices in the maze as needed to award torches and unlock the doors.

  10. Place a Player Spawn Pad in section 1 of the maze, where the player will begin the game.

  11. Place the Lock devices and Conditional Button devices beside each door.

  12. Customize the Locks and Conditional Buttons to communicate as needed to unlock the doors when the player acquires four torches.
